Royale Oceanic has qualified and experienced staff to provide a world wide service for the survey of new or existing luxury yachts.
Such services are often required by owners, brokers, financial institutions and insurance companies for the following reasons:
Prepurchase survey
Condition survey
Damage survey
Asset protection
Valuation
Royale Oceanic also undertakes yacht valuations for identifying necessary strategic options for upgrading including budget controls and ultimate valuation.
The valuations are available in different degrees to suit the client.
1) " Class 1" valuation
For second-hand vessels this involves desk top-market research, full condition survey, non-destructive testing (NDT) and dry dock inspection, together with the examination of class records and attendance on sea trials report, although for brand new vessels this may not be necessary, however, this class of valuation can be relied upon for banking and related purposes.
2) " Class 2" valuation
Dependent on client instructions and vessel type, this involves desk top research and a general inspection report.
Whilst the report includes a visual inspection of the yacht, it may not include a full condition survey, dry dock inspection and examination of class records and as such reliance can only be accepted for broad-valuation purposes, i.e. insurance.
3) " Class 3" valuation
Essentially provided for market information and general indicative purposes and is directed towards owners, brokers and other relevant parties
The valuation is based on desk top information and market research only, the extent of which is governed by the amount and quality of information provided by the client and the extent of the fee structure agreed for the work.
The valuation does not involve a visual or physical inspection/survey of the vessel and as such is "indicative only" and no reliance can be placed on the report for accurate insurance, finance or corporate decision making purposes.
